June 1st 1812 Meeting



The Commissioner Charles Gause NO. 433 Chapter of The National Society of the United States Daughter of 1812 will hold the June 1, 2013 meeting at 10:00 - 12:30 at the Cape Fear National at Brunswick Forest, 1281 Cape Fear National Drive, Leland, NC . The guest speaker is Elaine Henson, who will give a presentation using postcards on bathing styles of the late 19th and early 20th Centuries.  She has many postcards on the original Lumina Station on Wrightsville Beach and of historic events that took place there.

To the Brunswick Forest entrance:  1007 Evangeline Dr. .Leland, NC 28451
Then see below from entrance of Brunswick Forest
Directions to the Cape Fear National Clubhouse from Brunswick Forest entrance (~5 minutes from entrance of Brunswick Forest to the golf course)
IF HEADING NORTH on HWY 17, Take a RIGHT into Brunswick Forest entrance when you see the Port City Java and CVS on your RIGHT, a RIGHT when you see the Brunswick Forest Billboard with arrow pointing RIGHT
IF DRIVING SOUTH on HWY 17, Take a LEFT into Brunswick Forest ½ mile after you pass the Wal-Mart on your left hand side.  Take a LEFT when you see the Brunswick Forest Billboard with an arrow pointing LEFT
Turn into Brunswick Forest onto BRUNSWICK FOREST PKWY ….. Drive 0.6 miles
At the Intersection DO NOT TURN LEFT, but CONTINUE STRAIGHT….drive ~ 1 mile
You will be on an “undeveloped” road but continue straight until you reach a DEAD END
Take a LEFT at the DEAD END…drive approx 1 /2 mile
