General Gause Chapter presented two copies of the Penguin Young Readers Level 3 book, "Red, White and Blue." Last year "The Star-Spangled Banner” book Level 4 from Penguin Young Readers was donated to three counties in NC. The counties were Brunswick, New Hanover and Pender Counties for a total of 48 public elementary schools in Southeastern, NC. Twelve books will be donated to the public libraries in those three counties.
This was the book that was donated in 2018.
President, Kathy Miller, holds a sample of the children's book that was delivered to numerous elementary school and librarians in three counties in NC this year. Vice-President, Cindy Sellers holds a rack card of The Star-Spangled Banner Day, September 14th. Last year the program was so successful that Kathy and Cindy decided with the approval of the membership to do it again this year. On November 12th Cindy Gulledge and Kathy Miller met with Acacia Dixon from the Board of Ed at Bolivia Elementary School. Marianne Grant delivered books to the Pender County Board of Educations.
