The National Headquarters of National Society Unites States Daughters of 1812




The National Headquarters of National Society Unites States Daughters of 1812 is located in Washington D.C. This property has been placed on the National Register of historic places by the United States Department of the Interior in 1987. It was dedicated on April 7, 2002.
           The 1812 Society purchased the Queen Anne style home in 1928. It was built in 1884 by Rear Admiral John H. Upshur.  Dedicated members of the National Society United States Daughters of 1812 have donated historic artifacts, books for the library and other memorabilia. They have also the last seventy-five years collecting items of furniture to enhance the Queen Anne period furniture.

Commissioner Charles Gause No. 433 Chapter of US Daughters of 1812 have helped decorated the North Carolina room in the Queen Anne style.
