It is Never to Late to Order a Wreath for Wreaths Across America - If you miss the deadline then the money will go towards next year's program.

Wreaths Across America

"This year, when you place a Wreath on a Veterans Grave, you will know it is not just a wreath. It's your personal gift to an American hero, and you will swell with pride, and have a tear in your eye knowing you've done something special for our Veterans and their families. God bless out Veterans and God bless America."

If you want to mail a check to either Pat Elsaesser or Phyllis Wilson  to arrive before November 21st so it can still get to the main office by November 27th. You can also order a wreath online. There are specific direction on the Wreaths Across America Tab at the top of the blog.  Be sure to put Wilmington National Cemetery in on the website and the number NC0025P on your donation.

Pat Elsaesser is our Wreaths Across America Chair. She passed our information and sheets to fill out to accompany your check to order a wreath at our last meeting. Each wreath costs $15.00. It is a nice gesture to order a wreath in memory or in honor of someone special.

Pat's e-mail address is pelsaesser@atmc.com.  You can contact her and she will give you her address to mail your form and check. You can also contact Phyllis Wilson at par4wilson@gmail.com. If you are having issues ordering a wreath on line just send her an e-mail. Phyllis will also accept donations for 1812 too.

Let's put a wreath on every grave this year. If we all pull together this can happen.

NC Daughters of 1812,
Have you made your plans to attend the state meeting yet?  If your schedule will allow, it will be great to see you and have good attendance with the President National being our guest speaker.
Below is the previous email I sent you.
Hope to see you in Raleigh on August 5.

Commissioner Charles Gause Chapter members and their president, Linda Rivenbark, will be the hostess chapter for 1812 and will have members in the lobby at 10:30 for those wishing only to hear the speaker, enjoy lunch and stay for the 1812 meeting; however, you are invited to come early and attend both meetings.
DCH will handle registrations beginning at 9:30 for both societies...check in, get your name badge and proceed to a theater-style room for the DCH meeting.
Chapter Presidents:  please make sure that non-email users are provided with this information.
Mail registration for both societies is being handled by DCH and Brenda Hamilton.  If you have questions, do not hesitate to email Brenda at bmham@embarqmail.com or call her at 910-843-4644.
Don't forget:  we want to have a "big turnout" to show support for and appreciation to our President National, Jacque-Lynne Schulman, who will be the guest speaker!

Follow the directions and you will be able to order a wreath that will be placed on one of 5,000 graves in Wilmington National Cemetery. Share our blog site with others so they can view our blog and encourage them to buy a wreath. If your friends want to write out a check and buy several wreaths that would be wonderful.
