In honor of the upcoming 200th
anniversary of the ending of the War of 1812 and the writing of the
Star-Spangled Banner by Frances Scott Key, the US Daughters of 1812,
Commissioner Charles Gause Chapter, donated copies of Francis Scott Key's Star-Spangled
Banner by Monica Kulling to Brunswick County Schools. The early elementary text provides students an opportunity to engage with
events of this time period and learn the history of the poem written in 1814 that became our National Anthem.
