Morris Bass, Asst Site Manager CSS Neuse Interpretive Center holding a replica of the Flag that flew over Ft. McHenry with 15 stars and 15 stripes in September, 1814. He is descended from a soldier stationed in Smithville during the War of 1812. The name Southport was chosen in 1887.

Ports of Call Restaurant in Southport. Hopefully they didn't walk.
